Barefoot Gets A Mast

September 10th & 12th, 2007

David Content is building a fast custom aluminum sailboat,
designed for offshore and hi-latitude cruising, like Chile and Antartica.
He needed a hand moving his new mast, so I got to go and take a few pictures.
If you look at the deck fittings, you will see no leaky bedding compounds,
everything is simply welded to the deck, with insulation for dis-similar metals.
Of course, I had to throw in a few "tourist" shots from the canal trip.
It sure feels strange to be on a "sailboat" without a mast and all that rigging.
Barefoot sure has an impressive new mast now!
