I got to sail up to the Perry Rendezvous with Drew Baird on his Valiant 32, Otter. A sweet sail even if we did miss some of the fun dinghy races. We even saw a few other Valiants on the way.
Bob Perry, a "renaissance man" is most famous for the Valiant Yachts he designed, but is the designer for many more yachts, a fine fun musican, and even a soap salesman. The Perry rendezvous, planned by Judy Nasmith, with support from SAS Yachts, brings together the variety of Bob Perry designed yachts, and their eclectic owners. It is truly a delightful weekend, with lots of friends, and a rare chance, to see so many wonderful Bob Perry boats, in one place! While the variety of boats Bob designed impresses us all, Judy brings all these folks together to appreciate them. . .
I hope I got a pic of almost everyone there - sorry if I missed anyone. Maybe next year, I'll have time to do more boat tours. . . Click on the pic above for the "Index" page, and on any of the pics there, for a "slideshow".
What a good group - I hope you enjoy the pics!
