We headed down to Oro Bay on a bright, light-air, Spring Day, motoring past Blake Island, and down Colvos Passage. We didn't see a boat with sails up till we got to Gig Harbor, but there were some interesting characters on shore. South of the narrows we we passed one big house after another. By late afternoon we rafted up with Velella, and for once, we had the "big" boat at a raft-up, but that didn't last long. . .
Sunday morning, we got to see how Garth and Wendy put together thier sailing dinghy, "Tasty Penquin" and go for a little sail. Apropos anad Outlaw joined us, so we had a good Memorial Day raft up, with quite a variety of boat designs.
The trip home reminded me of the Fourth of July, with so many crashing annoying powerboat wakes, we couldn't sail till we were in Elliot Bay. Still it was a fun trip and great to be off the dock. . .
