The cruising club plans a Port Madison trip, almost every year. We raft-up and dinghy-in to the Port Madison Yacht Club for a good potluck dinner with friends and a pumpkin carving contest. Only three boats made it this year, but we managed to make it over between squalls, and actually anchored first instead of showing up at dark. Even better, we stayed dry - yea!
Again this year, we were invited to Mike and Nita's for brunch. A short walk away, where even more friends showed up, including Tor, jess and the twins, Lars and Odin. After the brunch, and a boat project (head rebuild) we sailed down to Winslow to catch Wendy's talk at the bookstore. Missed the talk, but found them later-argh! A good windstorm blew through, and we swung almost close enough to the ferry barricade to tie off. Sailing home we had winds over 38-40 knots and I was too busy for photos. Here's a pics from our weekend wanderings. . .
