We usually go to Blakely Harbor for the PSCC New Years Eve Raft-up, and sometimes even see the Seattle fireworks. This year the weather sounded like a bash down and a bash back, so we went to Port Madison instead. It was cold and wet, so we waited till almost 1pm to leave, and missed the rain. Four boats showed up, let by Steve and Elsie on Osprey, of course. Michele and Alan on their sweet Pacific Seacraft 31, s/v Corps of Discovery, rafted on the other side of Osprey. Then Kam and Ross on the Pretorien 35, s/v Turbulence, came up from Port Orchard, anchored facing the oposite direction and rafted up to us. We had hors d'oeuvres on Simplicity, dinner on Osprey, and toasts at midnight. We started the new year with a fine brunch back on Osprey. Alan helped put the outboard on Steve dinghy to fetch ex-commodore Mike, who lives nearby. While everyone else left, Kathleen and I stayed another night, and had an easy sail home, a good trip! Thanks all! (Click on a image below for a "slide show".)
