Nordic Day in Ballard

August 21th, 2016

Suddenly it was "Fogust", a great August foggy morning, so we stayed home this weekend. Then remembered the Nordic Day Celebration, at the local Ballard Nordic Museum. We walked up to see the activities and tour the museum. They have interesting displays from history of immigrants, to Scandinavian fashions. The Weather Diaries exhibit is a "Nordic Fashion Biennale, artist duo Sarah Cooper and Nina Gorfer explore the roots of Nordic fashion and take an unusual approach to the topic by telling its story visually". Kinda weird but interesting. We even got a little taste of appleskivers. . . Turned out to be a great day, even if we weren't sailing, a little bit of a Ballard tradition. Hope you enjoy the pics!
