For years we've enjoyed the October Puget Sound Cruising Club trip to Port Madison. The cruising club rafts up and dinghys in, for a nice potluck dinner at the intimate Port Madison Yacht club. We didn't have much wind for the trip over, but Ranier peaked out, and soon we had twelve boats rafted; Meyden, Yare, Raven Dancer, Osprey, Mirage, Violet Hour, Wicked, Simplicity, Ete, Blue Jay, Wino, and Red Hot. We had more food and people than pumpkins, and Steve stepped up to manage the judging with lots of smiles. Sunday, Mike invited us over for brunch at his house, another fine shared meal. Of course I'm trying to get shots of the people and boats that make this club so special. Like Wendy and Garth, who shared their boat project in Winslow. Nice to see it coming along! Sunday evening was so nice we stayed and came back Monday morning. Sometimes the light is golden and even the old tarp looks great, and other times I'm just photographing the dew on the hatch. What a nice weekend. Thanks all!
