Kyle and Angelia are looking for their boat, and found Ken Monaghan an experienced racer, sailor, and good broker at Signature. They've looked at a number of boats, and found my listing for Doug's C&C Landfall 38. The Landfall is C&C's well respected, serious cruising boat design. Doug was gracious, and willing to do an extra sail, so we went over for the seatrial on Sunday. It was wet and gusty, but Angelia zoned right in and sailed down the bay like a pro. Ken did a great job coaching Kyle back up the bay, with reefed sails, in the gusty wet conditions. Monday I got to ride down with John Sanford, a favorite and very experienced surveyor. It was the wettest drive I can remember, but the sun came out, and we had a dry survey-yea! I left an number of survey pics, in for strap reference in the future. As usual I'm always taking pics of other interesting boats in the yard and marina. John wanted to see the engine run up to max rpm, with the known prop, and we ran the sails out, only to discovered the bent foil-argh. Kyle and Angelia are learning a lot, and will have many projects to work on as they dial in their boat. We look forward to seeing them sailing and encourage their adventures. . .
