WSRB is an impressive company, with a great diversity of curious folks, led by Karl Newman. They have quarterly company meetings, a lunch, and some kind of interesting program. This Spring, Jill Davis helped arrange for a Physics demonstration by her husband, John Davis at the University of Washington. He's been running the UW physics lab demos for years, and knows all the interesting tricks, not magic, just good physics. Yes there were sparks and loud noises! Karl volunteered for the bed of nails, and the heavy cement block was shattered on top of him. Crushing the 55 gallon drum, with a loud bang, was one of the more impressive demonstrations. I tried to get shots setting up, of John and the group, and some of the interesting equipment and facilities. I hope you enjoy these photographs. . .
