Dawn has been looking for her boat for several years. Finally, we had a chance to get Doug's Roberts 341, s/v Whiskey Run. Wayne came up from Gig Harbor to do the survey. We started the very long day in Dad's Dinner, and did the haul-out at Cape Sante Marine South. The guys there are great, experienced, and efficient, a favorite yard. Out of the shallow channel, we put up the sails, just as the windline reached us. Wow, this is a good solid boat, and she sails great. I was delighted with how well she pointed, and Dawn was grinning. We did a few tacks and jibes and headed back to the back in. Yea, the powerboat shortcut didn't work! Wayne is very through, takes lots of pics for his survey, and is always teaching. He even shared his taco spot. . . Thanks all!
