Twice a year, Spring and Fall, there's a swap meet at Fisheries Supply in Seattle. Folks clean out their storage and bring their goodies and junk, lots of junk. The serious ones have tarps, tables, and are setting up before 4am. The serious buyers are sniffing out the deals by headlamp, wheeling, dealing, and whining "I'll be back". There's a little of the state fair folksy feel, and is a good time to bump into fellow cruisers. I haven't seen Captn Jimmy in years. John & Becca were up from Mexico, and Garth over from Bainbridge. Ron & Suzie had a truckload of gear, and book deals too. Steve's boat may be in NZ, but he was here too. Joe was there, and Paul and Judy, lots of PSCC folks. The warehouse was open and doing a thriving business. There were interesting displays, and it's fun to look for what's "in" this year, but I couldn't find a theme. Nice to see everyone! See you in the Spring? Thanks all! (Click on a image below for a larger image "slide show" - arrow keys work well.)
