My sailing buddy Chris has been a robotics mentor for years, and invited me over to photograph the Ballard High School team. The international robotics winner in 2017, the Viking Robotics team won the world championship at the FIRST Robotics competition in Houston. The competition involved about 400 teams, from Canada, Mexico, Turkey, Israel and China. Each year the robot work/competition changes, and this year I understand they have to find and pick up colored covered milk-crates. They are working well together, and have a good start already.
Here's pics of students, staff, mentors and parents as they worked on the project this year. Yea, I left in a few soft ones, even the power-cord and cover-all shots - I certainly had a good time! Thanks all!
