Dan sailed to New Zealand and back, on his Baba 35, s/v My Dream, much of it alone! That's not an easy trip. Geraldine fed his emails to friends back home, and here's a few pics from his Welcome Home Party. What a good lively group, a fine potluck, and great cakes. As usual, I tried to get shots of most everyone there, and a few other odd details, like the colorful hi-tech umbrella and strange flowers. Dan was talking about his search for glass floats, when I spotted the colored ones hanging off the house. Geraldine had saved and printed out all his emails, a touching moment. It's a big ocean, and a small bitstream thread back to friends. We are all glad he's returned. Nice group and evening!
