Boxing Day Brunch at Hulsizer's

Cruising friends, Steve and Elsie have a great generous tradition! For years they gave invited mostly sailing friends over for a brunch, the day after Christmas, known as Boxing Day. People bring canned goods and checks for the Ballard Food Bank. It's always fun - everyone has stories, questions and even technical conversations. Elsie is a retired marine biologist, CWB board member, and well known author, while Steve is a very experienced ships engineer. They sailed to Seattle from Boston on a 32' sailboat years ago. This year was special, a celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary! Toast's and stories were called for, Geo's the great local Cuban restaurant did the food, and we all had a good time.
