My sister Lane and Rodger her artist husband are off to Africa, and we get to house sit in the Winter-yea, just in time for the best snow storm in the Seattle area in years. I tried to get up the hill on Monday the 4th, and didn't make it 30 feet. After that, it was clear we were here for the duration. So of course I took pics of the snow, Rodger's artwork, and the lone orchid for a spot of color. We saw over 10" of snow, and with the cold temperatures, it wasn't melting quickly. The power went out a few times, but we were lucky and it came back on in about 6 hours each time. We shoveled, scattered cat litter down the steep driveway, and by the 13th, we made it down to the marina to check on the boat, and make the liveaboard meeting. Now it's raining, the snow is melting, and more snow is expected. . . More fun!
