Magnolia & Shilshole, WA
House sitting up on Magnolia has been a real treat, and here at last are some of the August and September pics. Clouds, planes, sunsets and boats, flowers and food - we sure appreciate the distant vistas and intimate views up there. With a view from Point Monroe to Colvos, sometimes you see a fast sub, and after awhile you keep seeing the same trees in the pics. From fog to painterly skys, a few minutes makes a real difference. Some of these shots are testing, exposure, lens and angle, just trying to keep the light and texture, in focus and the photo composed. Sometimes I find a soft shot, and discover I shot it at a quarter of a second, no wonder! We picked blackberries and Kathleen made a great pie from scratch. My sister Lane has a new puppy, named Poppy and an established garden with some especial trees. Smoke season was tough for everyone, and we moved back onto the boat, with burning eyes in the toxic acid rain. I hope you enjoy these shared moments of light, the pics are good therapy for me, certainly needed this year! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE for a more supportive, inclusive government, that can help us survive this covid crisis and do better! Thanks all!
