Shilshole, WA
My friend Pat, on the big Saga 43, Fairtide has a nice longer waterline boat, for this year's Sloop Tavern Yacht Club / Shilshole liveaboard Association Race. Titled "Race Your House", this is always a fun one! We went out for a little practice to sort out the sails, sheets, play spinnaker sock games, and get comfortable with the boat. I was delighted to sail with Gary and Jim again. Gary and I did the Oregon Offshore Race, Swiftsure and a lot of the Puget Sound Series years ago. Jim and I have done a number of deliveries together, including a SoCal-Seattle and Astoria. Pat brought his sailor friend Karl, a very experienced racer, and they have done offshore trips together too. What a good fun afternoon, with the highest tide I've seen and full Fall colors! You can see from the grins and stories, it was a treat to sail together, on such a nice boat. Please enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me. Thanks All!
