The rains had already started, but we wanted one more trip up to the North Fork of the Skykomish River. The leaves were falling quick, but lots of fall color remained. I had a good time trying to find a little order and a few oddities in the forest, and Kathleen was delighted to be outside. We stopped on the Beckler River at the closed campground, where Jill, an IT tech had the last cell phone coverage and a client who needed help. Over Jacks Pass and down to Iron Hold, where we had to check on the Salmon Run from the bridge. We were looking for mushrooms as usual, and this time, came home with Angle Wings and Chanterelles. Jill and I did our thrash, and found good patches. Scott went off on his own, and scored the big basket of Chanterelles. The pics are a challenge, both hard to focus, a patience problem, and some shot at a very low shutter speeds and soft, but it sure was great to get one last Fall trip in, before the "Atmospheric Rivers" arrived. Thanks All!
Please enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me.
