From the first shot to the last, you can see Ian's into this Spencer 44. He's done his research, sailed offshore, done deliveries, and been mentored by folks with a larger Spencer. Ian was not looking for a "dock queen" style of boat - he wanted a strong comfortable ocean boat, with a good sea-motion. Just look at that curvy fish-fin keel, skeg hung rudder, feathering prop and the smooth rocker curve to the hull shape - thats a classic cruiser. After the survey haul-out at Cape Sante Marine, we put the sails up, noted the big reefs and the odd sheet attachment, and were impressed with just how well Bora sails. When the mainsail dropped on the Harken cars, Ian was totally delighted! It's always so great, when the right person finds their boat. Thanks Lynne, Andy and Russ! Please enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me.
