Here's another West Yachts survey and sea trial with Lynne Reister - she's so good with clients! Orin has lots of boat experience and local sailing knowledge, and this Baba 35 will be a stable platform for Dani and Theodore. Theodore's a lucky kid to be growing up on a boat! As usual we went to Cape Sante Marine for the haul-out, but with such a low tide, they needed to spin the boat and lift stern-first. After the hull survey, we went out to sail. I've never seen a halyard knitted through the lazy jacks like that, and sorting the mess out with Orin, I missed that shot. Not much wind, but we discovered the genoa/yankee was a Hasse / Port Townsend sail with good foam luff, sweet. Theodore can be very serious, liked sliding the plastic shroud cover, and was so happy when he could climb up and join the conversation in the cockpit. I don't often get to do children shots on surveys, so this was a fun one. Oh yea, I was in the car, with cameras in the trunk, when Dani and Orin came out holding the babycarrier between them, another missed shot-argh! I hope you enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me. Thanks!
