Anacortes, WA
By the time I got to Anacortes, Steve Hayes, the surveyor had been working through the systems, but hadn't had a chance to sort out the liftline umbrella. I love finding unique features for each boat we survey and sea trial. Note the diesel vent on the mast-it's for a diesel heater tank replaced by a propane heater. Ryan, the buyer brought his Valiant 40 sail buddy Rob, so we would have crew for our sail. We went over to Capte Sante Marine for the haul-out, with Russ driving, and paused for a J-111 race boat coming down. They got sideways trying to back out, hard to do with the cables swapped-oops. Once they were tied up, the Fuji ketch was lifted out. What a pretty hull with a sweet stern! Once back in the water I was sorting out the sails, all three this time. We has a fine sunny day with nice breeze, so this was a sweet little sail. The big Garth Foss tug cut across out bow, and then anchored off the entrance to the marina, while another safety tug was towed out to the strait. What a nice day!
I hope you enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me. Thanks All!
