Russ asked me to come to help with the big Harden 45 Ketch sea-trial. The boat was on the hard at Pacific Marine, and would need to be moved to the water with their air-tube and hydraulic trailer. The real problem was, we only had an hour in the water, because of the low high-tide. By the time I arrived Lynne the surveyor was working through the boat systems below, and Cindy and Chris were exploring on deck or helping their clients on the phone. Hum, three sails, "where are the genoa sheets" - not in the bow hank-on bag. i found them under the mizzen at the back of the coach-house. We rode acros the street to the ramp and Russ got us off the trailer and turned around. Chris and I got the sails up out by the entrance buoy and we had a short sail, with all three up. At over 30,000 lbs, the Harden just shrugs off most boat wakes, a nice change for Cindy and Chris. Soon we were taking the sails down on the way in to the trailer, and made it back in time to be hauled out. What a nice sunny day with enough wind for the sails!
I hope you enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me. Thanks All!
