Seaview Boatyard, Seattle
Mark's Catalina 320, s/v Moonchild has a nice smooth clean and freshly painted bottom, and he wanted help to get the boat over to his slip at the Elliot Bay Marina. It's quite a process getting his boat out from between others, and into the big travel lift, and down to the water - Thanks Kyle! Leaving Seaview I spotted one of my favorite surveyors, Lynne Riester on a Coronado 45, and had to include those shots. We went out and drifted around, sorting out the halyard, sheets and raising the jib. Yea, just look at those telltales! We had only done a tack or two when we saw the pod of Orcas, and I only managed to get this one quick frame. We sailed out toward West Point, hit the current, and had to motorsail around Five Mile Rock to the marina, with Mt. Ranier out. I got a good work-out, Mark a bit more experience, and we had a fine little trip. . .
I hope you enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me. Thanks All!
