Hidden Cove Park
YEA! We made it to the Puget Sound Cruising Club Salmon Bake! We took the big boat, a ferry ride, a barbecue, and finally, this year I did not cook. Thank you Sarah & Dave, Greg and Shez and everyone who pitched in. What a sweet day with enough shade to keep folks comfortable. Hidden Cove Park has had so many upgrades since we started doing Salmon Bakes there in 2010 or 2011. Clearly it's a much loved and used local park. Despite the low tide, we had six boats rafted / anchored out; Just Lucky, Corp of Discovery, Shadowfax, Bardo, Imagine, and Red Hot. This year, it was so good to see cruisers in person, many we haven't seen in a couple years or more. Steve and Judy are back from the South Pacific, and Ron and Kirstin wintered in Alaska. We had active new members, Tom, Jeff & Sharon, Kathleen & David joining us for the Salmon Bake. Bainbridge locals; Mike and Nita, Jerry & Joy, and Wendy & Garth, always provide a lot of support. The core group of folks like Michelle & Alan, Linda, Mark & Diane, always pitch in. We sure missed Steve & Elsie, and Jim & Deb, Ross & Kam, Kelly & Nicole, and many more. . . The three Amigos, Shez, Greg, and Andy brought friends, family and even a couple dogs. What a great spread, good food and fun, a classic PSCC tradition. . .
I hope you enjoy these shared snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me. Thanks All!
