Kathleen often tries a different recipe for a Thanksgiving Turkey dinner, and this year it was even better! She dry-brined the turkey a day early, spatchcocked the bird (split, cut the spine out, and splayed) before roasting - Wow! She made four pies, while I just prepped and roasted veggies, and cleaned a little. With a couple grown grandchildren in Montana, and back in the big Magnolia house, we had food and space for friends. I was delighted to invite offshore sailors Jim, Deb, and Hank, and surveyor Lynne made it too! With such a fine crew, you just know the stories don't stop. All of Kathleen's "kids" made it, Scott and Jill, and Michelle with Sam and the dogs. What a fine fun Thanksgiving! Thank you, thank you all!
