Magnolia - Seattle, WA
Kathleen & I were fortunate to be house-sitting up on Magnolia in Seattle, in a big house with a great view. We decided to have a few sailing friends over, before we needed to move on. Kathleen's been reading "Our Syria - Recipes from Home" and planed a fine Syrian fish dinner, with caramelized onions and toasted almonds on rice, with a side of roasted cauliflower with cumin and a special salade. Used to potlucks, everyone brought something, wine, desert, and Elsie brought her potluck baked asparagus. As always it was a treat to see travelers, Jim and Barbara, who we sailed to Hilo with, on Complexity back in 2008. They are headed back to their boat in Greece soon. Steve and Elsie on Osprey have been the most supportive and active core of the cruising club and led the way to Alaska and the West coast of Vancouver Island - ask about Elsie's fine books. Jim and Deb, also PSCC sailers, bought their boat from me back in 2011, and are still talking with me, and occasionally ribbing me about the life-raft canister - don't ask! Jim and I have done some interesting deliverys together, offshore and in the Salish Sea, and he's a delight to sail with. What a fine thoughtful group of folks! Thanks for ignoring me, and letting me continue to look for pics, in challenging lighting situations. I hope you enjoy these snapshots - these pics are good practice and therapy for me! Thanks all!
