Shilshole/Puget Sound
Darryl is buying Alice and Dan's beloved Sam Morse Bristol Channel Cutter, sv Shaula. This wonderful boat carried Allice and Dan to Hawaii and back to Seattle, Mexico and the South Pacific, and another long South Pacific cruise where they explored Australia for eight years. They shipped the boat back, and have sailed in the PNW for 20 more years! There are lots of thoughtful details, so we did a good seatrial, longer than most. We reached over to Port Madison Bay, tried a bit of wing on wing, and sailed back with Mt. Ranier out, sweet! Dan even demonstrated how to easily lift the dinghy off the boat and adjust the Aries windvane. It's rare to see an original owner boat, with such a history, and in such good shape. What a delightful litte sail! As usual, I try to get shots of the crew, sails and scenery to share. Please enjoy these snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me, and it's always a good to be on another boat, especially with such gracious thoughtful people! Thanks all!
