When our "out of town friends" Drew & Mary couldn't make it, Jim & Barbara graciously shared their tickets, and Kathleen & I got to see the Van Gogh show with them. What a treat! It's a nice bit of art history. I was impressed with how much a part of the art world Van Gogh had been a part of, from working in galleries, studying in universities, and working with other artists - lots of interesting details. He clearly had some kind of love/hate relationship with Gaugin, slicing off one ear! In the big immersive room projected imagery flowed around the room, and I tried for a couple handheld panorama shots. I had a few minutes before the projectors lost their connection, and our little group missed out on the show. Of course it took pics to remember and share. Thank you Jim & Barbara - you are always so welcoming and thoughtful, and the chili and corn bread delicious and warming!
Please enjoy these snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me, and it's always a good to be with such sweet people! Thanks all!
