Anacortes, WA
Mike and Sheryl's well loved 36' S2 11.0A was on my dock at Shilshole and respected on cruising club trips and raft-ups. When they went East to be with grandchildren, I was delighted to list the boat for them. I showed Alice and John a few boats last year and after looking at others, John came back for a second and third look at the S2 before making a serious offer. We had Lynne and Andy scheduled for the survey on the 11th, and then found out about the logistics and tide limits. Stored on the hard at North Harbor Diesel, they could only manage to put the boat in the water between 8AM and retrieve before 11AM. That was a lot to do in one day, so I wrangled favorite crew, Dave and Sarah. Who else would be game to go up to Anacortes and move the boat in the rain Monday, so we could survey on Tuesday. It all went well, we were able to scatter cars, motor out, and put up sails briefly before our scheduled haul-out. Course I was early and the trailers were working hard to get other late boats out ahead of us. Soon we were parked back in storage, Lynne and Andy could wrap-up the survey, and it even stopped raining. What a process! Please enjoy these snapshots - these pics are therapy for me, and it's always a fun to be with out on another good boat, even in the rain! Thanks all, and special thanks to Sarah and Dave, who made it all possible!
