Anacortes, WA
Lynne and Andy came up to Anacortes to survey Joe's big Pearson sloop. Many 424's are ketches, and this cutter is a good one. What a treat - everyone was working together to sort out the boat and help Joe learn about his boat. This spacious 22,000 lb. boat is very stable and sails well. It will be a fine platform for Joe - one he can learn on for many years. Location notes - with a 2:15 haul-out at the South yard, we went for a sail early. What a team - Andy and I were trying to get the stay-sail up, and were short about a foot on the removable stay. Lynne remembered seeing the missing hardware, and we got it all working. Another "Good Day" on the water. . . Nice to see the Lady Washington out too.
Please enjoy these snapshots - these pics are therapy for me, and it's always a fun to be with out on another good boat, without rain! Thanks all!
