Grateful for another invite to Gwen and Gary's Seafair Party, I brought my big 100-400mm telephoto zoom lens. We've enjoyed their Seafair Parties and always look forward to seeing Gwen & Gary again. With a Mercer Island lake view, we get to see the airshow and the hydroplane races. The hydroplane spray is impressive and the noise thundering. The real show is the Blue Angels racing by at eye level, and screaming overhead so close, you can't hear anything else. Sometimes it feels like you are in the clouds with them, or maybe they are just flying upside down. Gwen & Gary always have fabulous food and interesting company, so I always try to get casual shots of the party. Look at all those smiles!
