Anacortes, WA
Lynne and Andy came up to Anacortes for David's Nordic Built Esprit 37 survey. It's always a treat to have both of them working on a sailboat survey. Lynne has more experience than most of the local surveyors, and Andy gets into some pretty tight spaces, and all over the boats. Stored in an Anacortes Marine Group yard, we needed Seattle Yacht's South Yard travel-lift to pick up the boat and and put s/v Impulsive in the water for a survey sail. With Hank's Cal 39 in the slings, without the correct Max-prop zinc, we had a little delay gettin wet. Luckily we had a flexible schedule, and Andy and Lynne are used to surveying while sailing. David drove while I hoisted the mainsail and got the genoa out. We sailed around the East end of Guemes Channel - just check out the nice sails and tell-tails. We brought the boat back to the dock by the haul-out, and the Seattle Yachts crew put it back in the AMG yard the next day. Please enjoy these snapshots - these pics are good therapy for me, and it's always a pleasure looking for sailing shots especially on a sweet sailing boat like s/v Impulsive. Thanks all!
