This was a special evening at PMYC, with Steve back from his circumnavigation and Odin talking about his Tall Ship Summer. He was sailing on 133' Adventuress Down the Hood Canal and BC Salt's 111' Pacific Swift North of Vancouver Island. Both Boats are classic schooners with School programs. Even the family Port Hardy transit was an adventure. With a broken windlass they pushed Anacortes to Port McNeill in three long days!
Jewels and Chris on their Catalina 36 Moring Star had a fun and personable presentation on their San Juan Islands to Princess Louisa Inlet, a BC adventure. They had great charts, rare electrical repairs, and fine restaurant experiences. It's always helpful to hear stories abd see chart with good coves for anchoring and places to provision. After the meeting a few of us checked out the Olympia Pizza & Spagheitti House close to the PSYC meeting location in Wallingford. We will be back.
We have a great group of folks that make up the Puget Sound Cruising Club and I try to get pics of them at traft-ups or meetings. It's good practice, but sometimes a struggle. This evening I hit a custom setting button that locked up my camera, and the best I could do for some of the pics was to convert to B&W. So I switched to another camera and got better pics. What a great group. Thanks all!
