We ended 2024 with a nice Bainbridge visit, house and cat sitting for our cruising friends Teresa and Rob. We sailed with them in Puget Sound and then did the Baja Ha Ha Rally, the San Diego to Cabo San Lucas passage back in 2006. They went on to do a big Pacific loop, sailing back from Japan. Teresa just crossed the Atlantic with Jim and Barbara on the Hallberg-Rassy 36, Complexity, arriving in Barbados where Rob was off to meet her. He gave us a quick rundown on the house and pets and was off. We settled in, burning a lot of firewood, grey wet day after day. Not all rain, I found a couple days dry enough to practice tennis serves. Of course there was good food and living in the trees, the deer came to visit. We went to Wendy and Garth's for a lovely visit with Joy & Jerry and Nita & Mike, more friends from the cruising club. Nita and Mike asked us over for a quiet dinner and more stories.
