The Stevens 46, Passepartout is a well respected ocean boat that's done Vic-Maui races to comfortable Alaska cruises. Jean Passepartout (French) is a fictional character in Jules Verne's novel Around the World in Eighty Days, published in 1873. Owner Pete, buyer Mark, surveyor Garrett, Russ & I were there for the survey. Passepartout is a strong stable design, with a lot of thoughtful custom features; the diesel filters and pump are on a hinged engine access door, look at the V-berth access, and latching floorboards. Check out the supports for the stack-pack at the end of the boom and the mast. Hauled out, the MaxProp zinc was replaced and taped to protect the screws. I always look for things I've never seen before, like the SS. brackets on the stern for an emergency rudder, required for offshore races and an odd dangle of three-strand. There's always something odd! Enjoy. . . Thanks all!
