Enjoy these pics from the 33rd Annual Banti Creek Pig Roast in Cle Elum, WA. Kathleen and I drove up for the day and by the time we arrived, the pig was crispy, and John was giving the kids a ride in Kermit, his big green ambulance. It's always good to see Lane and Scott, my sister's usual "posse" crew, and the extended family, casual friends and folks we only see at the pig roast. They always make this a good day! Kids grow up and bring their children, new folks come and become regulars. Some folks move away and return years later. The Banti Creek Pig Roast been a wonderful tradition, even that time many years ago when I came in from New York and it rained-ha! John and crew, trained by Marti, did a fine job with the pig and the rack of chickens. Everyone brought food to share, ice, charcoal or TP. Lane welcomed and invited everyone to eat, cheering the hard working crew with enthusiasm - my dad would be proud! From serious conservations to hilarious stories, what a fun tradition! I try to get pics of everyone. Thanks all!
