Jim Shutt, stepping up as the new PSCC Commodore, shared a few pics from his Pacific adventures and summer cruising in the San Juan Islands and BC. Planning and navigating was done by his daughter Jacintha and her friend. The two week "ice cream search" on SV Apropos, a Hans Christian 43T, took them as far north as Thetis Island. Visiting favorite anchorages, they stopped on Salt Spring, Galliano, North Pender and Vancouver Island. U.S. ports included Port Townsend, Stuart Island, and San Juan Island.
          Gerri and John on their Island Packet 36, SV Charlie made it to Alaska, leaving Ballard on May 15th and returning on Sept 8th, 2024. They learned a lot about their boat and had an interesting engine water cooling hose meltdown, wiping out their refer. It's always something. . . It was great to see their charts and hear of their adventures. They also came back with the best whale shot I've seen - which turned out to be the Juneau Tahku Whale Sculpture!
