Everett, WA
Deb and Jim repowered their Gary Mull designed, Concept 40 with a shiny new Beta 43 Diesel. Hauled out in Everett, they were doing a lot of the work themselves; bottom painted with a thru-hull replaced, the new engine mounted and hoses run. With their East Coast daughter recovering from a minor surgery, they called me for a litte help to get back to their slip. When I arrived there a few loose ends; the cockpit floor was unfinished but strong enough to stand on, the engine control panel was un-mounted, an electric priming pump not wired, and the engine untested. Suddenly it was time to go, the travel lift arrived as Jim remounted the wheel. In the water, Jim looked for leaks and only found one hose clamp to be tightened. We had a smooth tow to their slip, found the closed volve and the engine started - yeah success! Looking for a little more summer, I'm eager to see SeaScape sailing again. . .
