We ducked out of town for a few days, up to Worldmark Birch Bay Condo, enjoying the quiet and space. It rained and rained, finally I had to take a few pics, dragged the shutter to show how wet and grey it was, and even had to find a pic of the wall art. Remember the photo workshops where you have to find pics in your room!  Kathleen remembered Gwynne and Edgar had moved up North ages ago. They were part of a group of folks we had sailed with, back in the SSYC days. I dug through my computer and finally found contact info. Edgar had died a couple years ago and Gwynne was delighted to see us. She asked her friends for a brunch place, picked us up and we went to the VHW. Turns out they had a real chef and good food. We got the Birch Bay Village, house tour, and a dinner invite. We had such a good time, with lots of stories, and I had to look for a few more pics. What a friendly surprise and delightful break. Thanks Gwynne!
