Dave and Sarah drove us to Port Madison via the Edmonds ferry, avoiding the Seattle traffic, yeah. We arrived at the PMYC about 3:00 and met Lacey with the small black Lab and the Nonesuch with the black carbon-fiber wishbone boom. Of course Deb and Jim were there already. Mark and Diane arrived, while Boog anchored. Jeff and Sharon brought crew - Ben, Parth & Sierra, with a dinghy load of pumpkins! It sprinkled briefly, and then the deck became a serious pumpkin carving zone. Just look at all the thoughtful planning, marking, carving, and only one power tool was used this year. There were big pumpkins like Chris & Chris, and little ones like Mark's, and Jeff & Sharon and Sherry carved the medium ones. The rest of up supervised, while others modeled pumpkin clothes, a neckless and earrings. Good to see the PSCC burgee just inside the door, and Diane rehanging the Multihull Club burgee - she's a member there too.
        What a good group - look at all the smiles, and serious conversations. Dave pointed out all the seagulls taking a break across the inlet, why? I tried to catch Judy & Steve with the PMYC logo in the entrance glass. With so many good dishes and plenty of deserts, no one left hungry. After dinner, the pumpkins were judged with applause. The winner was the unique "crab pumpkin" carved by Ben who referenced a past Annapolis crab. What fun! As usual I looked for pics of everyone, and didn't get good "foodie" shots. . .
